Jared is currently the goaltender coach for #1 ranked Quinnipiac University, as well as Trinity College.  He has been with Trinity for seven seasons, during which time Jared helped capture the 2015 Men’s National Championship, coached two All Americans, a Women’s Laura Hurd Award Winner,  and two Women’s All Americans. He just finished his fifth season with USA Hockey as New England District Coach, Atlantic District Head Goaltender Coach, and East Regional Mentor for the Warren Strelow Goaltending Program.

Quinnipiac University is having a stellar season, as is goaltender (and Pro Crease student) Michael Garteig.  This season alone he has received multiple accolades, including Hockey Commissioners Association National Player of the Month (Nov.) … Three-time ECAC Hockey Goalie of the Month (Oct., Nov., Dec.) … ECAC Hockey Goalie of the Week on Dec. 8, 2015 … NCAA Hockey Star of the Week on Dec. 8, 2015 … He was featured on ESPN SportsCenter’s Top Plays of the Day on Nov. 21 … As of Jan. 16, 2016, he is 19-1-3 with a 1.41 goals-against-average and a .940 save percentage ... He became the first goalie in Quinnipiac history to post three consecutive shutouts, doing so against UMass, Yale and Brown … Those three games factored into his program record scoreless streak of 194:49 … He currently leads all NCAA Division I men’s ice hockey goalies in wins (19), winning percentage (.891), shutouts (7), minutes played (1,365:45), games played (23) and games started (22) … Ranks third nationally, while also leading all ECAC Hockey goalies’ overall numbers.

A product of New Milford Youth Hockey, Jared Waimon played for Sacred Heart University and Stonehill College. Jared has dedicated his life to the betterment of goaltender development and continues to be an enthusiastic student of the game. His knowledge of the different levels of hockey both locally and nationally makes him one of the best resources available for the serious goaltender.
